Here is a C major scale:

I have set up ABCjs on this site. A javascript app that can render notation in the browser, along with a MIDI playback option.

My intention was to enable this functionality so that I can write educational material about music, and illustrate specific examples with notation. It took me a bit of time to get up and running on Nextjs but it works really well, I'm very happy with it!

What this might actually look like in practise

Lets say that I wanted to talk about Mahler's 8th Symphony, which is a very excellent piece of music. I could illustrate the main motif that is introduced at the beginning of the piece

This is not a scale I guess, so it goes against the title of the article. Please forgive me.
